Day 01:Arrive Colombo
On arrive in Colombo,you will be welcomed and assisted by a representative and transfer to the hotel.Overnight.
Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison,Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, the Kaymans Gate with the Belfry at the original gate to enter the Fort, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhaal dating back to 1749, Kelaniya Buddhist Temple, Davatagaha Mosque, Colombo Museum and the Natural History Museum are some of the sites to be visited.Also visit the BMIC Hall,see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square.After lunch, transfer to Kandy (3 hours).Check into hotel and overnight.
After breakfast, Sightseeing of Kandy.visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic,Royal Botanical Gardens,Gem and lapidary museum.Evening visit Cultural show. Overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. Check out from hotel proceed to Bentota(4 Hrs) Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage,then Proceed to Bentota. Many interesting sightseeing tours are possible from here, such as the Turtle Hatchery, Mask factory, Boat trips on Bentota River etc.Overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to Colombo airport(2 hours) for the flight to Kochi. Arrive Kochi,transfer to Munnar Hotel(3 hours/100 kms),drive through the picturesque countryside to Munnar.On arrival,check into your hotel.Set in the mountain scenery,once known as the High Range of Travancore,the hill station of Munnar is the commercial Centre of some of the world's highest tea - growing estates. With its craggy peaks,manicures tea estates and crisp mountain air, Munnar is an ideal retreat.The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this quaint hill station.Overnight.
Today, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Munnar where you will enjoy visiting sections of old Munnar, which includes the charming old Christ Church with its original fourteen rows of wooden pews and the Tata Tea Museum.Later, you will also visit Mattupetty Lake which is flanked by steep hills and woods and has been created by the small hydro-electricity dam there.Enjoy a panoramic view of the dam surrounded by wooden hills and tea plantations. The evening is at leisure. You can spend time within the hotel and simply enjoying a delicious dinner and maybe in the evening going out for a stroll to the local market.Overnight.
Today, after breakfast, drive to the idyllic backwaters of Kumarakom, popularly known as the rice bowl of Kerala. A huddle of tiny islets on the Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom is a pictorial, unsoiled village. Kumarakom is a popular tourism destination located near the city of Kottayam, famous for its backwater tourism. It is set in the backdrop of the Vembanad Lake which is the largest freshwater lake in Kerala. On arrival, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. You can explore local markets for various spices such as cardamom, pepper, kokam, nut meg, clove, cinnamon, coffee, cassia, tamarind and so on. Shop for Handicrafts made of natural fibre, metal and woodcraft products such as wall mirrors with antique finish, multi-colored screw pine boxes, baskets, bags in various sizes, whitewood icons and artifacts are other favourite items found in Kerala. Overnight.
The morning drive to the idyllic backwaters of Alleppey and check into your houseboat.Overnight.
Today,bid farewell to your Kerala tour and transfer to Kochi airport for your onward journey to Kolkata.Upon arrival,transfer to hotel.Overnight.
Day 10:Kolkata Departure
After breakfast,Jain temple,Marble palace,Tagore house,Kumartuli,Drive past, Dalhousie square, Eden garden,River side etc.After lunch,visit the famous Victoria memorial. Later,transfer to airport for the return flight back home.
